Interoperability of 3d Brain Atlas Reconstructor and Scalable Brain Atlas

One of the recent enhancements of 3d Brain Atlas Reconstructor is plug-in allowing to bidirectional data exchange with Scalable Brain Atlas ( http://scalablebrainatlas.incf.org/).

Datasets exchange

Scalable Brain Atlas can be now supported with data generated by 3d Brain Atlas Reconstructor. Moreover, it is possible to convert any atlas available on  http://scalablebrainatlas.incf.org into three-dimensional model using 3d Brain Atlas Reconstructor.

Another important property of the parser is direct acces to the data available on SBA website. 3dBAR downloads entire dataset before generating 3D model which assures that models are always generated using the most recent set of slices.

3d Brain Atlas Reconstructor is also used to replace process of manual tracing in favour of automated parsing source files ( more information).

Web service

As whole reconstruction process is fully automated, the 3dBAR web services are used to enhance  ScalableBrainAtlas functionality. The services are provided as one of SBA plugins allowing three dimensional visualization of datasets. Try  this link and search for 3d reconstruction plugin.
